This terrestrial evapotranspiration (ET) dataset for Tibetan Plateau is developed by the water-carbon coupled remote sensing evapotranspiration model, Penman-Monteith-Leuning Version 2 (PML_V2). The parameters of the model are calibrated using observed data from 14 eddy-covariance flux towers representing different land covers in Tibetan Plateau. Then the 0.05 degree, monthly ET data is produced by the PML_V2 using meteorological forcing and satellite-observed leaf area index, albedo and emissivity data. This ET dataset now covers 1982-2016, and future updates for a longer temporal period is planned.

This data adopts the remote sensing evapotranspiration model PML with carbon water coupling_ V2, combined with the data of vorticity related flux stations on 14 typical underlying surfaces of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, the model is calibrated, and then the 0.05 degree and monthly Land Evapotranspiration of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau obtained by meteorological driving, remote sensing leaf area index, albedo and emissivity are input. The time span is 1982-2016. This data is only the actual evapotranspiration of land, excluding water surface.
