This data set is aimed at the Halon glacier in the Animaqing mountain area in the eastern part of Kunlun Mountains. The data content is the results of GPR glacier thickness measurement in the field in 2016. The data format is TXT text file format, including 1023 point measurement records. The data set contains the field GPR thickness measurement results of Hailong glacier in Animaqing mountain in 2016, and the file is a TXT text file, which contains the information of GPR glacier thickness measurement points in Animaqing mountain Halon glacier in 2016. Features in the data file (all measuring points): serial number; longitude (unit: Degree (°)), accurate to 8 decimal places; latitude (unit: Degree (°)), accurate to 8 decimal places; thickness (unit: meter (m)), accurate to 1 decimal place.

Field measured data in 2016.
Using the ekko Pro GPR made in Canada and using 50 MHz and 100 MHz antennas, the glacier thickness was measured by radar. Before the measurement, the velocity of radar wave in glacier ice is detected by tape measure and antenna with different frequencies, and it is applied to the thickness calculation of radar host to obtain the glacier thickness with the highest accuracy level.
Before using ground penetrating radar (GPR), the propagation velocity of radar wave velocity in glacier ice is measured, and the parameters of GPR are modified to ensure the most accurate thickness data of corresponding glacier.
